Geology Blog

Metamorphic rock is a rock that has transformed from it's original state to the condition it currently is in.





This is a Gneiss rock, it is a type of metaphoric rock that was once feldspar and quartz. 



This is marble, and it was once limestone.


Sedimentary rock is a rock formed by sedimentation of material at the surface and within water. 






This is sand stone, it has a lot of sand sized quartz particles in it.




This is shale, it has a lot of clay particles in it.


Igneous rock formed through the cooling and solidifcation of lava.

This is pumice, it has lots of holes from air bubbles in it.
This is Carbonatite, it is composed of 20% carbonate material.
