Cherokee National Park

I chose this park instead of focusing on Ocmulgee National Monument, because it's the park I grew up in and I went to Girl Scout camp at. The official address for it is: Cherokee National Forest 2800 North Ocoee Street Cleveland, Tennessee   37320. It is Tennessee's only National Forest with nearly 630,000 acres in ten counties. It is broken into two by the Great Smokey Mountains National Park (my second favorite park). The mountains in the park are home to more than 20,000 species of plants and animals. The  park stretches the east side of the state, and is in the heart of the Southern Appalachian Mountain Range--which makes it one of the world's most diverse areas.
